Use it
Profile and memory
Tell every agent you use who you are and how you like to work, and let them remember your preferences. Private to you, kept apart from your company brain.
Your company brain holds what the company knows. Your profile holds what your agents should know about you: what to call you, what you do, and how you like answers. As you work, your agents also remember things about you, such as a preference or a correction you gave them. Every agent you connect reads them before answering you.
Open Settings › Profile to see and change all of it. Only you and your own agents see it. Your teammates and their agents never do.
What applies where
- Your profile and what agents remember about you (your preferences and background) go with you to every workspace you're in.
- Your work (what you're working on) belongs to the workspace you're in. It is never shown or given to an agent in another workspace.
- Company knowledge and decisions never go here. They belong in the brain, where the whole team reads them.
How agents remember
When you state a lasting preference ("short answers, no tables"), correct how an agent works with you, or tell it what you're working on, it saves that and tells you in one line. You can change or delete any memory on Profile, or delete all of them.
Agents connected over MCP read your profile at the start of a session with
profile_read, and save with memory_save. See Connect your agents.
Turning it off
- Switch off Let agents remember things about you on Profile.
- Workspace admins can switch it off for everyone in Settings › Workspace.
Either way, agents stop saving and reading memories. What was already saved is kept until you delete it.
